Wicked Compensator
The Wicked Compensator is a functional thread-on John Wick tribute compensator designed for the Heckler and Koch 9mm P30L handgun. A reimagining of the compensated iconic hero gun from the movie John Wick, this compensator will turn any HK P30L 9mm pistol into the unmistakable looking Wick Stick. Expertly designed in 3D CAD from a real P30L model and machined from a solid block of 7075 aluminum billet, the compensator is as real to the movie as you can get. Every curve, surface, and line of the Wicked Compensator matches the factory HK P30L slide for a monolithic aesthetic.
Installation of the compensator requires a factory H&K P30L threaded 5” barrel with a 13.5x1mm LH metric thread pitch (PN 229792, not included). The Wicked Compensator is CNC machined out of 7075 aluminum, bead blasted, and then finished in a type 3 black hardcoat anodizing. The Wicked Compensator has been lightened internally by milling out pockets to reduce weight and increase cycling reliability.
Included with the Wicked Compensator, is the installation kit consisting of a stainless steel shim pack to clock the Wicked Compensator to the H&K P30L threaded barrel, slide, and frame as well as a vial of Rocksett to lock the compensator in place. To help the HK P30L pistol cycle as many different types of 9mm ammunition as possible, a reduced weight 302 stainless steel recoil spring and Delrin swap tool are also included.
Each Wicked Compensator is quality controlled to make sure that all tolerances, bore alignment, and surface finishes meet the exacting standards that Heckler and Koch firearms deserve and require. Only then does the Wicked Compensator get individually serialized and our DeFender company logo applied. All aspects of the Wicked Compensator were designed, developed, engineered, machined, anodized, and laser engraved 100% here in the United States of America by small independent business owners across the country. No over-seas inferior parts, materials, or treatments will be found on any Wicked Compensator kit.

We started the design of the Wicked Compensator back in January of 2019. To undertake this monumental task, we took a Heckler and Koch P30L V3 pistol to be 3D laser scanned and imported into CAD as an assembly. This gave our designer a place to begin on the tribute compensator using real dimensions off of an actual firearm; not a recreation or visual likeness model. We used the slide as the template so that the Wicked Compensator would appear monolithic in nature and match the lines of the H&K P30L exactly.

DeFenderCo does not recommend using the compensator on a defensive or carry tool that is depended upon to save lives. Adding the thread-on Wicked Compensator to your Heckler and Koch pistol should be completed by a certified HK armorer. Failure to install the compensator correctly could result in serious injury or death. The Wicked Compensator was designed to cycle all 9mm ammunition types. The reduced weight recoil spring can cause accelerated wear to your pistol, and certain ammunition may fail to eject, fail to feed, or stove pipe in the slide during live fire with the replacement spring. Because of this known possibility, DF recommends using this in a controlled range setting, not in a defensive or competition arena.
